Help for Component Information page
1. Overview
The Component Information page shows basic information about an individual component.
This display is launched by clicking on the component name in the
"
Component name" column of the Summary
Results display. The Component Information page consists of four parts: the System,
the Contract, the Results Data, and General Information.
2. System section
This section contains basic information about the system: the
Timeframe
(day, swing, or position trader), the
Contracts traded, the
Cost,
any
Comments, and the name of the system
Vendor. Note that the Vendor
name is a hyperlink, which you can
click to view the vendor's website.
3. Contract section
This section contains basic information about the contract: its
Symbol
and
Name, the
Margin requirement, and any
Comments.
4. Results Data section
This section contains basic information about the results data: the
Results
Integrity code and interpretation, any
Comments, and the name of the
Data Provider. Note that the Data Provider name may be a hyperlink, which you
can
click to view the data provider's website.
5. General Information section
This section contains general information: the Account Size, the
Trading History, How Profit/Loss is Calculated, and any
Comments. Sometimes you will see a "Commentary" in the "How Profit/Loss
is Calculated" item. The commentary is a computer-generated comment on the
reasonability of the slippage and commission values, based on whether the results are
hypothetical or actual/near-actual, and whether the raw data contains an allowance for
slippage and/or commission. There may be information in the immediately-following
Comments item that will clarify the Commentary.
