Overview of the Pages on Futures Examiner
1. Intro pages
The introduction pages provide a
General intro to the overall website, and
intros to three of the more interesting parts of the website, the
Results page, the
Summary Results display, and the
Basket Design page.
The intros can be accessed from the "
Start Here" box on the Home page.
2. Results page
The Results page contains the
Results Control Panel, which is "action central"
for looking at the results that we track. Results are
grouped into "baskets",
and the
*All Current Actuals & Hypotheticals basket contains all the results
that we track, both Actual and Hypothetical. The
*All Current Actuals basket
contains only the Actual results.
You begin by selecting the desired basket, and then clicking Summary,
Monthly, or Statistics to generate the corresponding display for the
basket components. You can choose the sort order for these displays:
Alphabetic, System profit/loss, or Individual profit/loss. The displays are as follows:
- Summary Results display, which is a tabular listing of the account
size, maximum drawdown, average annual profit/loss, etc. for all the components
in the basket. This display also contains icons that you can click to
launch, in a new window, a chart (of one component) or a multi-chart
(of up to 10 components). For more information, please refer to the Summary Results
intro or
help page.
- Monthly display, which contains the profit-or-loss of each component
on a month by month basis, scaled as either dollars or percentage.
- Statistics display, which is similar to the Summary Results display
but contains different information, including annual profit-or-loss and
drawdowns, and Sharpe ratio etc.
Hopefully, you will spend many engrossing hours poring over results pages! For
more information, please refer to the Results Page
intro or
help file.
Please note that the Basket Design page allows you to define your own
custom baskets, for example to facilitate viewing a group of systems that you
