JULY in Review    During July the S&P 500 index fell about 3%, but for a few of the systems we track it was a good month, with four making a profit. In the one-month Top Gainers table (actual results, including commissions and cost of system), the average one-month profit was 10% of conservative account size. Bear in mind that this gain is for the TOP-performing systems that we track.
    To see how the top systems have performed over the past year, you can look at the numbers in the one-year Top Gainers table. These numbers give the cumulative profit over the last 12 months, and the average this month for our Top Gainers was 18% of conservative account size. Turbo Trader and BounceMDRL 2miniRL took the top spots by a large margin, followed by Seasonal ST miniND and BounceMDRL 2miniMD. Compass, Impetus, and Polaris also made the table. Again, these gains are for the top-performing systems that we track. Note that the one-year percentage is not annualized, and some of the newer systems may have achieved a high percentage profit (or loss!) in much less than 12 months.

Interview We interviewed Mr. Index Trader, a trading system developer whose systems have frequently appeared in the Top Gainers tables on Futures Examiner. His systems include Frequent Trader, Flash, and the newly released Turbo Trader. In this interview he shares some of his insights about trading systems, and some of his future plans. Notices from Developers 2007-Jan: Turbo Trader is again open to new clients.
2006-Jun: Axiom Index: The developer, Lincoln Fiske, does not recommend trading miniND (or miniSP) any more, because he feels that they do not trend well.
2006-May: Turbo Trader is now closed to new clients, because of the large number of contracts being traded.
2006-Apr: Frequent Trader: The developer, Mr. Index Trader, no longer recommends trading Russell systems such as Frequent Trader that enter in the afternoon only, because he feels that the market has changed.
